INSTALLATION SERVICES

Ramp Engineering, Inc. has a national account with Sherwin Williams for all their ramp striping supplies. The company uses Graco line-striping machinery on all projects.

Polyurea Coatings

Although this had never been done before, in the spring of 2001 (at the request of Continental Airlines), Ramp developed a system to apply polyurea coatings for ramp striping at airports. Ramp’s background enabled them to invent the equipment necessary to accomplish this task, for which Ramp was awarded a US patent. This adaptation allows us to apply 2 colors concurrently while still installing the reflective beads required. A total of 44 complete gates were successfully installed with the polyurea coatings at Newark International Airport.

Ramp is currently working with the Port Authority of NY/NJ in developing specifications so this system can be applied at all PANY/NJ airports.

Ramp Engineering, Inc. provides secondary containment and waterproofing for airport fuel systems with the use of polyurea coatings.

Fuel Pit

Vault

Concrete Valve Vault

Preparation is done to prevent water intrusion and obtain a profile. A primer and polyurea coating are applied to specifications.

Fiberglass Hydrant Pits

Interior of pit is completely cleaned and coated. The coating provides a seal over ballast to the boot seal, creating an impervious secondary containment coating.

Parking Garage

Ramp Engineering, Inc. applied polyurea coatings to a parking garage flooring system for waterproofing purposes.

Rail System

Ramp Engineering, Inc. sprayed polyurea coatings on the surface of 2 railroad bridge overpasses (one steel application and one concrete application) for New Jersey Transit. This provided a waterproof barrier for the railroad to install the ballast and track.
